Assets

Assets are everything a person owns that carries value: bank balances, mutual funds, stocks, EPF and PPF balances, property, gold and jewellery. They form one half of the Net Worth calculation, with liabilities forming the other.

Assets are counted at today's realistic market value, not the price originally paid. A flat bought for ₹60 lakh in 2015 and now worth ₹1.2 crore goes into the calculation at ₹1.2 crore.
